Hello, this is the post of a conservative who has had enough. For many years the Conservatives have been drifting left and inching closer and closer to the left. They gave up the abortion fight and stopping fighting for what I cared about. When Scheer took power, I thought of him as a weaker Harper. He wasn't great but he would do for now, but he was too weak to lead the right flanks of Canada to victory. I was originally a Leslyn Lewis supporter, but I decided Erin O'Toole was good enough. I figured while he wasn't what I wanted, at least he was "True Blue", as he claimed, and that he at least wouldn't erode further to the left, like MacKay tried.

Nope, I was wrong, and today I jumped sides. I liked Maxime Bernier more than Scheer back in 2019, but I figured I didn't want to split the vote. Now I don't care, all of them are basically the same and I'm not going to hold my nose for O'Toole anymore.

Canada has a voter turnout of 67%. What the right needs is not some wishy washy centrist weak compromise candidate who will sell out their values 5 years down the road. We need someone who will rally up the fiery masses and turn out the right wingers en-masse.

I see Maxime Bernier as that candidate. The right needs a Trump or a Bernie, not a sleepy Joe or a Jeb Bush. Don't care if the Conservatives pester me day and night about splitting the vote, you left me, I didn't leave you.
