Our geography is good

Have you been between Ontario and BC? Have you been to that giant wasteland that is NWT and Nunavut?

I don't know what your criteria for good geography are. But you have to admit that whatever virtue the land of Canada has, in almost every province it's cut at least in half by the 6 - 8 month long winters we have, and the ever lurking possibility of snow-rape in what ought to be summer.
