Cases are not hospitalizations either. Over 15,000 tests per day and actively testing healthy people. It's not just a provincial lockdown - its regional. They are at point where you need papers and reasons to leave regions and enter other parts of the province. They are telling households to limit 1 person to grocery shopping and going outside. Walking tracks are closed and police monitor parks. No one is fucking sick. No one is dying. It's insanity.
I live here we have 47 people in hospital, and 41 hospitals in the whole province, rough napkin math says that's about 1.1 person per hospital, and this isn't even counting ICU beds just general hospitalizations with covid and they are claiming that our system is overwhelmed
And it's not even that you need papers and reasons to leave your immediate region, it's just you're not allowed period unless it's for work one person per household can be the designated shopper for the household, your household bubble or the amount of people you are allowed to have within your household is limited to four people, so if you have a household of say six members then you need to segregate from each other within your own home all small businesses are basically shut down but big stores like Costco are allowed to remain open, they are saying that if you've been outside automatically assume that you are infected and to go get tested even if you're asymptomatic, it used to be that they would list exposure sites throughout the province but now they do not they just say if you've been outside you've been exposed, and the worst thing is we have such a high population of retirees here and boomers that they just suck this fear mongering from MSM right up
We had a family from Ontario come here and didn't do their 2 weeks of quarantine it decided to tour the whole province and they spread it around, at least that's what the rumors say
and there is so much demented brainwashed people here who love this type of stuff, we are absolutely fucked unless the people get together to handle this tyrannical system.

This is true.
I thought the Maritimes had a bubble and didn't need to lockdown?

Not that I think any of this hysteria is justified, but to be fair there might be a bit of a scaling bias here. You can make any curve look as flat as you want by just scaling up the Y axis to something completely unreasonable.
I didnt make the graph. Its directly from canada.ca and their covid page.
