The excuse people are using to justify the tiki torches is that the left are going to call them white nationalists no matter what they do, so they might as well just carry the tiki torches.
That's stupid logic. You wouldn't wave swastikas at a lockdown rally, would you? No, you wouldn't because that would give the left's accusations credibility. And like it or not, there is now a link between tiki torches at protests and white nationalists, thanks to Charlottesville protestors. So in that sense, waving a tiki torch is like waving a swastika in the public consciousness. People see tiki torches at protests, they think Charlottesville. You can pretend that not the case but it clearly is.
I just don't understand why you people are so married to these fuckign tiki torches. Like holy shit.
And yet you people still have meltdowns when someone explains to you why it's bad idea to wave tiki torches at lockdown protests. It's as if you're immune to reason.
It doesn't matter if you think it's bullshit, it only matters that the public see an association between tiki torches and white nationalists, which means it's a bad idea to wave tiki torches at your protest (unless you want people to think you're white nationalists).
Irrelevant. It's a bad idea to wave tiki torches at protests because the public associate them with Charlottesville/white-nationalism.
What is so difficult so understand about this?
LOL all the tiki tards are here!
