If only my family would believe that immigration was the driver of economic growth in Canada :D
Increased GDP is not the same as increased standard of living (ie: higher wages and lower prices).
Importing more poor people who work for cheap does make the measured GDP bigger and increase demand, but lower wages and higher prices make the citizens poorer.
