There are 4600 years of holy books and I only read them occasionally. To re-read one I'll need a suggestion from a burning bush. I'm disappointed that an omnipotent being could only manage to prove himself to one guy 3,000 years ago.
We have no first-hand eye witness accounts of Jesus either, although I admit the documentation is marginally better although replete with inconsistencies.
