Ah yes, the old "love it or leave it, my country right or wrong, it's perfect as it is, not my problem" buffoonery.
Good idea. Got any? So far it's just your opinions. Get a copy of Thomas Berger's "One Man's Justice" and read the chapters on the First Nations cases he took to the Supreme Court of Canada. There's good background there.
As Daniel Patrick Moynihan said: 'You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.'
They (the facts) are available. I would encourage anyone following this discussion to start with Dr. Bryce's pamphlet. It's only 24 pages.

After that, maybe watch some videos. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=residential+school+stories
Some of us are able to see these things for what they truly are - excuses to gaslight and cause destruction.
Politicians are not sincere about 'reconciliation' - they politicize for personal gain.
Same goes for the FN leaders and advocacy groups. They realize that this can be exploited for increased financial support.
Finally we have the taxpayer who will bear this burden. The blood is not on their hands yet they will pay the price.
We cannot revive the dead nor can we put the dead on trial. Therefore the 'reconciliation' is simply a dollar amount.
What's the magic number for restitution? The answer is infinity because it will never be enough.
One can only dine on the corpse of Western Civilization for so long. Flawed as they were, the world we enjoy now was built by stronger and wiser people than the 'leaders' we have today.
The magic number is $1.6 Billions. This is what Canada paid the survivors of chapter schools after the reconciliation report came out and Trudeau aplogized in 2017. Who actually got the money? My guess is lawyers and Chiefs.
Your unsupported opinions say a lot about you.
For anyone interested in why this topic is not going to go away here's a short (20 page) overview of how we got here and what we might do about it.

"As Daniel Patrick Moynihan said: 'You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.'"
Strange, since that is EXACTLY what natives are doing to this narrative. Anything to make a buck, they will do. Whine, tapdance around reality, anything. Right now, THEIR "truth" is the only one allowed. NO one else can point out facts without being called Racist. It should run both ways, but it clearly doesn't, and they'll fight tooth and nail to keep it that way.
They already got $1.6 Billions in damages for the chapter schools.
You keep talking about facts but you never present any. I hope you aren't confusing your opinions with real facts.
