And those railroad tracks are awfully close to the church.
The train would make a great excuse for an "accidental" fire starting within the community.
I just looked at one of these videos of residents who were fleeing from the fire.

They started filming in the parking lot of the Lytton AG Market. Then they start driving north with the clouds of smoke coming in from the south and some fire to the east of the town (not on the west end like the church). A few seconds later they are passing the local Soctiabank branch.

It's not impossible that the fire started near the church, but the fire would have to circle the city to get to the other side of it, which is kinda if improbable (especially with the wind blowing north).
Yeah it does look like the smoke is originating from the east tracks.
The source of the fire had to be somewhere south of the town. There are already thick clouds of smoke blowing north. And fire spreads mainly in the direction of the wind.

But there are also railroad tracks on the other side of the town. Depends where it started.
