Black men commits more violent crime than white men. I remember a study recently that was circulating that showed if they look at a specific gene linked to violence in prison's population, black men ended up having it way more than whites. Also the FBI data on crime and ethnicity (https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2018/crime-in-the-u.s.-2018/tables/table-43) speaks for itself when it comes to violent crimes.

Don't get me wrong, not all black men are more violent than whites, but in a slightly shifted normal distribution, it means that the threshold for doing a violent crime overlaps a much bigger sample in the black race.
