The news release clearly states that the test being replaced can only detect SARS-CoV-2, while the tests being recommended can detect both SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. You can now use one test instead of multiple tests.
The new tests "... can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season."
Nope. There are people who can tell the difference between covid and influenza. Ignore them at your peril, and at the peril of anyone vulnerable who comes into contact with you.

The testing is now admitted wrong just as the doctor who invented the test said
The discussion about the value of the PCR test is beside the point. The doctor that invented the test recommends getting the vaccine:
"Malone clarified that he was not discouraging the use of the vaccine but was providing people with as much fair information as he could about their risks."
Regarding the vaccination of children: I guess time will tell whether he is right or wrong. At the moment he appears to be, among those qualified to hold an opinion, one of the outliers.
As for mandating vaccines, censorship, economic recovery, etc., well, he's just another citizen with an opinion. Americans seem to be exceptionally touchy in the "you're not the boss of me" department.
Nope. I'm a mechanic. But I know some nurses pretty well, and some of them have been at it for decades. And they have colleagues who have moved on to other hospitals, and some of them have kept in touch with people they trained with who are now working in a lot of different places.
Between them they work all over the country. The stories they tell are pretty much the same. At one time or another they have been absolutely slammed with covid patients, and they're worried about another wave because of the variants and they people who won't help stop the spread by getting vaccinated.
So we know they faked the case numbers. They now admit it by using the PCR test to begin with and then running it over 40CT.
Course if their case count are far off then so is the 99.9% survival rate.
Are we just going to trust them with their hospitalization counts and covid death counts?
Not me.

What chance have y'all got?
Baloney.

No, the cases were inflated by increasing the cycles to the point where people who were in no way contagious were testing positive (I believe).

Yuk Yuk!
Well, never been isolated by you, for sure.
There. Fixed that for you.
Glad to.
I know you either work at a Russian troll farm or you've swallowed their fables.
I'm not arguing with you. There's nothing to argue about.

And he does not discourage the use of the covid vaccines.
You're leaving out the fact that "Malone clarified that he was not discouraging the use of the vaccine"
Why do you not mention that?

Thanks for that link. I've bookmarked it.

Thanks for that. I was mixing up the PCR test and mRNA vaccines. Sorry. Mullis was certainly a brilliant biochemist and an interesting character.
Do you know if he said anything that sounded like the PCR test failed to distinguish between the flu and the common cold?
Because that's not what OP's article says.
Your eyes are brown, aren't they?
