When they're comparing vaxxed to unvaxed, they're counting all the way back to December 14 when the shots were first rolled out.
The problem is they're counting all the cases during the giant winter wave when most of the population wasn't eligible to be vaccinated. The vaccination rollout was super slow and it didn't really take off until March/April when flu season started coming to an end. The majority of these unvaccinated case/hospitalization/death numbers are counted during the two months when the vaccination rate was only 1%. I compared the graphs so you can see how misleading it is.
Image 2: Comparison of graphs with vaccination rate. The red squares show the timeframe for the data... notice how long the green wave is flatlined for before it picks up.
I got the Health Canada stats from here
To show how insane this is, on December 14, 6733 people were counted toward the total for "unvaccinated cases" even though only 5 people in the country had the vaccine at that point.
Just thought you all should know so that when you're confronted with these statistics, you can explain why it doesn't necessarily mean that 89% of cases/hospitalizations right now are unvaccinated.
You'd think the populace would desire and pursue genuine data to guide the way forward. But instead, they'll just eat up whatever numbers are cooked up.
Once they start posting honest data about vax deaths and vax serious side effects then I will start taking this data seriously.
While your at it post data comparing hospitalization and deaths with unvaxxed patients given HCQ, Ivermectin, Zinc, Vitamin D and the rest of the cocktail vs patients not given these
If they think the vax is so much better than the cocktail lets see the results.
Stat manipulation headline fodder
That's interesting historical information. Here are some numbers from today..
On August 12 2021 Ontario started reporting (https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data) on the vaccination status of people as they tested positive and are currently hospitalized. All the numbers aren't in yet but in the hospitals that did report there were 61 cases hospitalized but not in ICUs. Of those 61 cases 44 (72%) were unvaccinated, 7 (11.5%) were partially vaccinated, and 10 (16.4%) were fully vaccinated.
Of the 51 cases reported to be in the ICUs 44 (86.3%) were unvaccinated, 5 (9.8%) were partially vaccinated, and 2 (3.9%) were fully vaccinated.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, because most residents have had one or two jabs, so only a small proportion of the population is supplying those big percentages.
August 13 2021
Today in Ontario hospitals that have reported:
In hospital due to COVID-19 (excluding ICU) Unvaccinated - 64 (81%) Partially vaccinated - 6 (7.6%) Fully vaccinated - 9 (11.4%)
In ICU due to COVID-19 Unvaccinated - 52 (86.7%) Partially vaccinated - 5 (8.3%) Fully vaccinated - 3 (5%)

True. It's misleading to expand the timeline that far to a point were only a few people were vaccinated. It skews the whole statistic.
It would be better to look at the last 30 days. Hard to find data on it. I know for example that of the 10,000 people which are currently hospitalized in Florida over 96% were unvaccinated.
https://www.fox13news.com/news/half-of-florida-covid-19-hospitalizations-under-55-96-unvaccinated
Alberta provides similar numbers:
https://www.alberta.ca/stats/covid-19-alberta-statistics.htm#vaccine-outcomes
There are currently 77 people in non-ICU units with Covid 19 which are unvaccinated vs 14 who got a first dose and 15 who with two doses of the vaccine. And all 28 patients in the ICU due to Covid 19 are unvaccinated.
It's not. Even the Pfizer, Moderna and other vaccine companies released data that shows that it takes about two weeks until the vaccine reaches "optimal" protection.
They show it. Scroll down on the data Alberta releases and you can see how many days after the first or the second shot people got hospitalized or died. They don't hide as you say.
You can scroll down and see the current data. How many people who are hospitalized right now are either vaccinated or not vaccinated.
Dude, you can hover over the graphs and see how many of the current hospitalized patients are vaccinated or not.

Dude, go to the website with the stats from Alberta linked above and you can literally see this. They split up the deaths and the hospitalizations in following categories:

The "96% of the hospitalized patient are unvaccinated" didn't come from the CDC, so I don't know what they have anything to do with it. It came from a group representing the hospitals in Florida.
And while the CDC made an error in reporting the Covid cases, the over 10,000 people which are currently hospitalized with Covid 19 is correct. This number is coming from the Florida Health Department. Even DeSantis acknowledged the rise of patients with Covid 19.

You can prove me wrong and post the number of people who are hospitalized with Covid in Florida, vaccinated and unvaccinated.
But we know that you won't do that ...
