I lived temporarily in Red Deer and while it was cold as hell it was still free-er. Thinking about moving the family to Calgary. I live in downtown Toronto currently.
Added benefit that private Christian education is partially government funded. Costs 11k /yr in Toronto, can get similar for $3500 /yr in Alberta. With the push of gender crap on kids is the public system, private education has become a top priority for my kid.
Oh and real estate is still cheap in Alberta. Can still buy property even if only making 40 - 50k a year.
Lots of them in YQR, too but, nothing like Calgary. I was there 2 weeks ago, haven't been there for a few years, and it was a noticeable difference.
