Yeah, that's what seems to happening. O'Toole's gun flip-flop seems to have gained him a few more net votes from the moderatues than he lost to the PPC. He'd actually on the rise since yesterday. I never would have expected that to work.
The gun flip flop isn't captured by the current polls. The polls released today (and late yesterday) were all made on or before September 5th. O'Toole made the comments about his gun policy yesterday (September 6th).
PPC support rising could also be because of traditional non-voters showing support. This election has our rights and freedoms on the line, so the normally apathetic people are finally willing to vote and PPC seems to be capturing these voters.
