On Sept 1 a news website in Oklahoma City incorrectly linked two separate things a Doctor said. https://web.archive.org/web/20210902202007/https://kfor.com/news/local/patients-overdosing-on-ivermectin-backing-up-rural-oklahoma-hospitals-ambulances/
Half a dozen major news media reported the incorrect story and some gave it credibility. A week later updates and corrections had been issued and the whole thing was old news. Hardly justification for saying "Never believe Main Stream Media".
