That's not true. The current QR code is just in a PDF, which every Android phone can open.

It's not some special app or something. You either show the PDF with the QR code on your phone or you just print it out.
I assume the QR code will be unique and will pull up your name which the staff must match with your photo ID.
Just watch. They're going to refuse to accept health cards as corroborating ID because that violates personal medical confidentiality. Mark my words.
