You get a lot of mileage out of your opinions. Do you check yourself for confirmation bias from time to time, or are you just supremely confident that your reasoning and Internet search skills.are sufficient to counter the conclusions of the hundreds of thousands of people who know vastly more than you about infectious diseases and the public health measures necessary to combat global pandemics?
That sounds like you might agree that there is a global pandemic going on.
Be gentle folks. Buddy is listening to the voices in their head again.
There are dozens and dozens of existing viral, bacterial, and parasitic diseases, many of them way deadlier than covid. Have a look at this chart and ask yourself why they would try to "reduce populations" with a new one when there are already so many worse ones they could spread. https://informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/the-microbescope-infectious-diseases-in-context/
Only because most people are vaccinated. Looking at the "All eligible Ontarians" pie chart at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data this morning tells us that about 14% of eligible citizens remain unvaccinated, but the "Hospitalizations by vaccination status" pie charts show us that they represent about 61% of the people in the hospitals.
The short version is that unvaccinated people get sicker.
So get vaccinated if you can and leave that hospital/ICU bed - and the doctors and nurses that go with it - for someone from a car accident or whatever.
If there are "hundreds of thousands of people who know vastly more than you about infectious diseases and the public health measures necessary to combat global pandemics" (your words) then why is there a "global pandemic going on" (your words). One would think with so many 'experts' we would be in this--what is it now, fifth wave?--predicament at the moment.
Your faith in the ability of medicine to fix everything is touching but naive.
"Misguided" or "irrational" are probably the best labels for your conclusion that because medicine has not fixed covid it must be a plot.
