Don't confuse "new cases" with "in the hospital/ICU".
Omicron is new and is spreading as fast in vaxxed and unvaxxed alike. It's so fast that new cases can't be counted as accurately as before.
The rubber will meet the road in the hospitals. Keep your fingers crossed that they don't get plugged.
