ONE fully vaxxed person has Covid means the vaccines are INEFFECTIVE.
The fact that one fully vaxxed person doesn't have to go to the hospital means there might be room for you or your loved ones if they need to get in for any reason.
There are about 250 covid patients in ICU in Ontario, 100 are on ventilators. There are c. 370 hospitals in the province, which has a population of 14.5 million. You keep using proportionality because it looks more damning and scary, but the fact of the matter is covid has a very high survival rate and seriousness can be mitigated by factors other than vaccination -- but none of these measures are ever advocated, in fact some are poo-pooed as "conspiracy theories". Monoclonal antibody treatments were available since January 2021, highly effective at reducing severity and deaths, yet only began to be used in a limited basis in about September. When's the last time you bemoaned the fact that had it been used earlier, many lives could have been saved? Never?
So you say. No sources though. Maybe these are accurate numbers, maybe you are making them up.
it looks more damning and scary
Nevertheless I provide sources for my numbers that anyone can read and make up their own mind. You are minimizing the situation without providing anything more that "Trust me folks. I know things."
Monoclonal antibody treatments
Monoclonal antibodies are an "...experimental treatment [using] “laboratory-made proteins that mimic the immune system’s ability to fight off harmful antigens such as viruses” like SARS-CoV-2." Maybe you would be happy to take them but a bunch of your fellow travelers will raise the same "you're not putting that shit in me" arguments that they already do about mRNA vaccines. Monoclonal antibodies cost about $1,250 per treatment, while vaccines are in the $20 range.
"While monoclonal antibodies can start to clear the coronavirus within hours of being infused intravenously (IV) into the body, this treatment may not work for everyone.
That’s why experts recommend that people get fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which is known to prevent severe illness and hospitalization due to the disease."
Hi. Why doesn't the government not force me to exercise, not drink and smoke, and eat healthy too? That keeps me out of the hospital.
It's because I am a free human being. People are FREE to choose whether to get vaccinated or not. However, for human beings who want to force an experimental procedure on others so that they feel safe - we have a word for that. It's called a piece of shit.
Those things you do to yourself. The damage they do to you is not something you can pass on to others by being too close to them in the grocery store.
People are FREE to choose whether to get vaccinated or not.
Of course. If you choose to take the risk of being a more efficient vector for a contagious disease, and accept the chance you are more likely to take up a hospital/ICU bed in a disintegrating healthcare system, then you really can't complain if you are shunned.
force an experimental procedure
There's nothing experimental about the AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson vaccines. They are traditional viral vector-based vaccines, no mRNA technology.
This is complete bullshit.
In Ontario roughly 532 unvaccinated people per million are hospitalized, while the number for vaccinated people per million is only about 105.
Roughly 135 unvaccinated people per million are in ICUs, while the number for unvaccinated people per million is 9.
Here's a graph that shows the numbers: https://covid19-sciencetable.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2022-01-05-Current-COVID-19-Risk-in-Ontario-by-Vaccination-Status-Separate-Charts-1024x317.png
More details and graphs are available at https://covid19-sciencetable.ca/ontario-dashboard/
The short version: vaccines keep you out of the hospitals and ICUs and make room for people who need help with other medical problems.
Keep moving the goal post. The filthy vaccinated are spreading this disease. The facts are clear. Enjoy your lockdown.

Sure.
Except these aren't statistics. They are just hospital bed and ICU bed counts.
And too many unvaccinated people are taking up those beds when not all of them have to.
The fact that ONE fully vaxxed person has Covid means the vaccines are INEFFECTIVE.
Reddit is that way ——>
The fact that one fully vaxxed person doesn't have to go to the hospital means there might be room for you or your loved ones if they need to get in for any reason.
And yet they are still taking up many, many times their share of hospital and ICU beds.

Proportionality seems to matter. I gather you haven't had any elective surgeries cancelled.
Considering how many people die in this country from botched surgeries, those being cancelled could be saving thousands of lives.
Forgot about this one...

New Zealand banned smoking from people born before a certain year recently, I believe. We could go there.
