The point of this (or any) protest is to persuade the public to support your cause.
In this case, I dare say it's been working. Everywhere you look, there's a distinct sense that the media and the government are on the defensive.
With that said though, you need to know when to cash out and leave while public support is high. Because if you stay too long you'll wear out your welcome and people will sour to you and your cause.
I hope the organizers don't think this is something they're going to just keep up forever until the government concedes to their demands, because that's never going to happen. After a certain point, remaining will only strengthen the government's resolve and send more support to their side.
Just like you need to know what flags not to bring, what graves not to dance on, etc etc.
Unfortunately there are retards in every cause who can't/won't apply basic common sense and will always do the stupid thing.
Hell, remember the groypers all shit their pants when I told them tiki torches are a bad idea?
There's just no reasoning with some people.
And the media love those types.
I'm just waiting for stories like elderly people dying from lack of sleep or unable to get their medication or something to that effect soon. I mean heck, Khadir got 10 million from lack of sleep.
They made their point, message received, time to move on.
