inconvenient fact, most virus particles are 30 nanometers, covid is a large virus at 125 nanometeres. exhaled aerosols range from 100 to 500 nanometers, a n95 filter is rated up to 300 nanometers.
First of all folks the virus does not travel by itself. It travels in droplets of moisture / aerosols, and a 300 nanometre mask will capture 500 nanometre droplets.
So masks reduce the transmission of the virus.
But don't get your information from anonymous people on social media. Instead read what the scientists say:
2022 Oct 22 "Our findings indicate that both respirators and medical masks provide a high as-worn bioaerosol protection efficacy against virus containing aerosols, and therefore, a very high protection against airborne diseases. Considering the higher comfort, better availability, and lower price of medical masks in contrast to respirators, it is recommendable to use medical face masks especially in low risk situations and in general public." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36317154/
2022 Jul 25 "The N95 remains the best respiratory protection, and in the event of the next airborne pandemic, FPEs [Face Protective Equipment] could serve as adequate alternative protection against the viral spread." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35901992/
I really floors me when they say medical masks filter much of anything when most of the air, thus your aerosols travel effortlessly out the side of the mask.
Folks, the fact that Pegases does not understand it is not important.
Study after study shows that masks reduce the spread of the virus. Here's another one: February 16, 2022 "...the estimated daily case incidence per 100,000 people in masked counties was 75 percent of case incidence in unmasked counties ... at four weeks and 65 percent ... at six weeks postintervention" https://www.healthaffairs.org/doi/10.1377/hlthaff.2021.01072

Thank you for proving my point.
