At some point we must ask ourselves why is it society's obligation to save people from their stupid choice. Decline and or overdose is the inevitable result of the lifestyle they have chosen and all efforts to mitigate the effects of their stupidity will only delay the inevitable.

I am all for having detox and treatment programs available if they choose to quit, but this nonsense of keeping them alive while they play russian roulette is costly and useless.
