Government will always be cause and effect based on creating the outcome they want by creating the conditions for the outcome. Some would say the excessive pricing was encouraged by government policies to enable this outcome:

Welcome to public pharma - I hope the big pharma companies are ready to be federalized.
I think we're in agreement that people should have access to the medications they need.
You seem to be arguing that A) it's government's fault that mebendazole is too expensive, and at the same time that B) government doesn't have the power to control drug prices but Biden is trying.
