She seems to feel that because she wants to call it cosmetic surgery therefore OHIP or Ontario should listen to her.

Answered that. Sorry she doesn't like it, but getting her information from anonymous people on obscure social media is inviting misinformation.
She should get it from provincial, territorial, and federal health departments.
They're the ones that decide what gets covered or not.
