I never download apps unless I have to. I block all youtube ads by going through my mobile browser for example which I can't do in the app. Most apps exist strictly to:

1. Steal your info/spy on you
2. Stop you from using web browser plugins such as adblockers
3. Raise the company's value on paper by flaunting how popular their app is and how much data they're scavenging with it.
