This is a must read for anyone who wants a full detailed timeline of what the RCMP did and didn't do when the NS killings happened. No other articles I've come across compares: https://www.halifaxexaminer.ca/featured/an-epic-failure-the-first-duty-of-police-is-to-preserve-life-through-the-nova-scotia-massacre-the-rcmp-saved-no-one/

Doing their fucking job is not too much to ask. I've poked into some of the training resources for study and all you have to do is watch BWC footage from LAPD or LVMPD or CPD to see how cops actually can handle %99 of active shooters by the fucking book, on cam, like robots practically every time.

Integrated training is constantly being performed by LEAs to standard EVERYWHERE, especially when we're joint-integrated with the Americans.
It gets murky after the Scotus Ruling: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_v._District_of_Columbia
Canada however DOES have a duty to protect sworn: https://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/pp/order-ordre-eng.htm

Then you have instances like the above:
The RCMP does NOT get the slack that forever troubled BCSO was afforded for simply being known Florda Cop-tards.
Same reason as CAF fuckery today, shitty recruit pool. You know, because of that shitty leadership retard thing destroying retention?

FWIW you do raise good points and it's fun to bounce ideas/debate/etc.
Also u/woodenboatguy saw what he called an "interesting opening gambit" when I burned sock to do it, my reddit /r/ProtectnSwerve queries related to community policing, response to EDPs (jurisdictionally/operationally lensed), and the shitposts of a few Deputies/officers really helped me, especially in reference to the Memphis Model, which really needs to be their own QRFs with flight cars tbh.
Me and my stupid fucking predictions smdh, I'd make a joke but I don't want death by welfare-check today! Death by welfare-cheque sounds like a fuckin PARTY THO! WOoOOOOoOOO
The thread was incredibly productive with multiple perspectives and only up for an hour before Tencent spezzed it outta circulation. That should be a bloody fucking time, cockblocking my research.
You are correct though I have DS syndrome just because I expect officers to follow procedure and I know that it's not always easy/possible. They don't make it easy for me to justify biting my tongue so often.
Well Yeah, about that ... We need these shitstains to perform the battle that they signed up for, $100k+/yr and gold plated pension isn't even a factor..
But co-morbid institutional failures are just everywhere now. :I
