Montreal is worse. You've got enough major arteries and highways to get around efficiently, but because of perennial, unplanned and unannounced road closures (where no fucking construction is happening btw) you will always be trapped in traffic or even re-directed the opposite way you were initially heading + in traffic. You cannot avoid this as there won't even be signs advising anyone of the closures until you're in it with no way out. My last few years living there I would never take my car because any 10 minute errand has a 70% chance of turning into 30 minutes to an hour. I'm not exaggerating.
