Here is an excerpt from a 2002 globeandmail article about Toronto crime and race :
"The facts about black crime in Toronto are rather grim. In a follow-up piece, the Star found that, while blacks account for 8.1 per cent of the population, they account for nearly 27 per cent of all the charges laid for violent crimes -- homicides, sex assaults and gun offences.
The Star also reported something else everyone knows but no one wants to say. The young men shooting each other in those clubs aren't Ethiopians or Nigerians or Sudanese. They're disproportionately Jamaican. Jamaican-born Canadians account for 2.4 per cent of Toronto's population but 9.5 per cent of all the charges laid for violent offences."
Keep in mind, this was in 2002. During a press conference addressing a week of gun violence, a reporter presented this question to Mr. Fantino :
""How many of the victims were black?" someone asked at long last. He said he didn't know. "I'm not making this a race issue," he declared.
The answer is that all nine victims were black. All but one of the suspects are black, too. What hung unmentioned in the air is something everyone knows so well it scarcely bears repeating. Violent black-on-black crime is a serious problem in Toronto."
Mr. Fantino dared publish a report on crime and race in 1989 and was immediately crucified by local 'activists' :
"In 1989, then-North York police superintendent Julian Fantino, later to become Toronto police chief and a federal Conservative cabinet minister, released police statistics showing that while blacks made up 6% of the population in Jane Finch, they committed 82% of robberies and muggings, 55% of purse snatchings and 51% of drug offences."
The 13/50 meme is very, very real except it's more like 7.5/50 and in 2020 a 'target' can be a regular guy trying waiting for a lift to the job site because he has white skin. These young thugs have been trained to kill innocent targets by propaganda fed to them through netflix programming and 5-10 years of Billboard singles.
The symbolism of this murder has my blood boiling.
Julian Fantino would like a word...
