Toronto will become like Baltimore/St. Louis/Chicago unless MAJOR changes happen ASAP however 'advocacy groups' in Canada have acquired virtually unlimited power and prevent these changes from ever becoming implemented let alone written up into a proposal. Simply addressing these stats is 'racist'.
I left Toronto almost 20 years ago. During my last year there I was violently assaulted by a random stranger at 3am. I was alone and it fucked me up a lot. This past year a friend of mine was the victim of an attempted robbery and carjacking (with a 7 and 9 year old inside the automobile) in broad daylight, at gunpoint.
They say you are not altered by situations unless they DIRECTLY affect you.
I believe now, in 2020, the far reaching arms of 'diversity' will begin to poke people a little too hard and some of us might start poking back....
I live in a majority White and wealthy town that is unfortunately a short drive away from a poor and majority non-White city. The crime in the area has quadrupled in the last 10 years, and is done exclusively by the usual suspects from the city that come into town to rob and steal. I have been the victim of multiple property thefts, every other home on the street has been burgalrized and neighbours have been jumped and robbed on their driveways and victims of car jackings. This is in a nice and quiet neighbourhood with $1-2 million homes.
This kind of stuff dramatically changes your quality of life. I'm always paranoid about locking my stuff up now, keeping a low profile and looking out for who might be snooping around the property. I also have a good guard dog and my PAL now.
It's going to get SO much worse.
