Can you imagine if Harper had come anywhere close to this kind of behaviour back in his day?

Dude, I don't want to surprise you, but Harper also aired his throne speeches on all channels. Every throne speech gets airtime on all major channels. Nothing special about it.

Justin taking airtime, for a political rally dressed up as the Prime Minister speaking to the nation at a moment of great importance, it was not.

Lefties have the same argument about Conservative PMs and their throne speech. Just a "political rally dressed up". And furthermore you're talking about Harper, someone who invited the Aga Khan to speak in front of the parliament about how wonderful he is, while kicking out the Liberals and the NDP. So that only he was there to suck off the Aga Khan.
