Norway is a constitutional monarchy much like Canada. They have lots of oil, and thus can afford a wild social safety net, and are arguably the richest country in Europe. Oslo is full of people who can’t get Norwegian citizenship (which is basically impossible unless you or one of your parents is a Northman). Other than that it’s a nation of fiddle playing hillbillies who live on fjords and still make more money than most Canadians could dream.

I’m excited to see what kinda performance the Ford Mach e gets (I refuse to call that thing a mustang). If they can perfect it I’d love to see a proper rwd 500 mustang though. Engine sounds be damned I just wanna still be able to throw the rear end out and do burnouts.

It’s definitely possible though, the Tesla Model S higher trims do 0-60 in what? 2-3 seconds?

Decadence. We are much like the Romans at the tail end of their imperial period. The weak won’t survive the coming collapse though. I mean men and women. Those who have become reliant on the government will not be able to live without it

They’ll redistribute everything and anything that belongs to the workers, yet nothing that belongs to the banks or the corporations. The world is quite swiftly turning into a corporatist hellscape that targets the poor in effort to keep them poor, and subject to their whim. They want the poor and middle classes to become serfs and peasants once more. You had best pay tribute to Lord Sillynanny else he may not defend you when the Scots invade

Agreed. And they’ve also realized that socialist rhetoric can be applied without actually going through with any major social change. They still get to line their pockets. We’re beginning to follow China’s example

A better wording would be an Authoritarian coup. Authoritarianism has little to do with economics

The German Empire had also been running a massive deficit, then the Weimar Republic had hyperinflation in the midst of a global economic crisis. Hmmm

This is what I find hilarious about artists who are communists. Like they know that under a communist system they’ll still be shitty artists and they’ll have to do something else for a living right? It’s not like the Soviet Union was some kind of refuge for nobodies who can’t paint, sing, play violin, whatever.

The average person is way too stupid to make political decisions. I’d have an absolute monarch well versed in philosophy if I could

What other country can I think of that just printed money? Didn’t that fiscal irresponsibility lead to a dictatorship rising and causing a major conflict? Hmm guess we’ll never know

This is the kind of time when the crown should be stepping in and dissolving Parliament
