I believe there are a number in the Liberal caucus who despise him. Trudeau placates them with grift. My understanding (from Viva Frei) is Marc Garneau who apparently holds Trudeau in low regard is eyeing the ambassadorship to France so wants to remain in Trudeaus good graces. Which explains Garneau's wacky tweet to Viva.
Don't put much faith in the Senate. There are only 25 Conservative appointees in the Senate. And one is Brazeau who was in favour of the Emergency Act. There are 15 vacancies at present. Trudeau is going to close that little loophole with some woke friends.
Senate never voted on the Emergency Act. Considering the amount of Trudeau appointees, even factoring in a couple dissenting 'Liberal' votes it would have passed. At present 90 senators, 25 were Harper appointees (BTW Brazeau was going to vote for the Act) and the rest Liberal.
Regardless, Trudeau is going to fill those 15 Senate vacancies pronto. With some woke weirdos.
Prior to Covid I held doctors in high esteem. But now realize they are just cashing in a paycheque. I know, it was me, I was naive, but never realized how morally pathetic doctors are.
