The other day I was looking up weapons laws because I’m going to visit someone in Calgary. Even in my tiny town where nothing ever happens, I carry pepper spray during runs in case of people, aggressive dogs, etc. Was very surprised to learn that you’re not even supposed to have pepper spray... not my country so of course going to respect the law. But just surprised.
Then I came across a thread on Reddit where another girl also wondered if it was legal there, and someone actually responded, “I’m gonna say this as delicately as possible, but if you feel the need to carry a weapon then you might need to see a therapist to find out what happened that made you feel this way.”
It’s so common here even in Commiefornia, you just go to a drugstore and they have little keychains with mace; you don’t even think about it, it’s just always with you. And she’s acting like there has to be something wrong with your head to take a minimal precaution that costs maybe $10, and won’t even kill anyone if you do use it, when you’re going for a run in a city... just surreal, the mindset, like nothing bad could ever happen... oh! And to top it off someone suggested she learn martial arts. Alrighty then...
It looks like he must've found them here: http://www.adrreports.eu/en/search.html It lists the three vaccines and you can compare cases, but I didn't find where it said how many vaccines total were administered.
This source says the same number of cases he mentioned, 54,571 for Astrazenica: https://dap.ema.europa.eu/analytics/saw.dll?PortalPages&PortalPath=%2Fshared%2FPHV%20DAP%2F_portal%2FDAP&Action=Navigate&P0=1&P1=eq&P2=%22Line%20Listing%20Objects%22.%22Substance%20High%20Level%20Code%22&P3=1+40995439
This is bizarre since Moderna and Pfizer are both mRNA I believe while Astrazenica/Oxford uses a chimpanzee cold... that’s crazy. Wonder how Johnson & Johnson will measure up; frankly not getting any of them, but have friends and family who won’t even consider going without one, so gonna try to convince them to take the least visibly harmful one. Unfortunately most of them are choosing Pfizer.
Edit - tired can’t tell if it takes into account the total doses given at that time of each one, if they were roughly the same or not?
Aside from the government overreach, the dumbest thing about this is that the toppings are the only part of the pizza that will have the protein (cheese/meat) and the vegetables, unless you get stuffed crust. So they want to mandate that you have to eat a higher proportion of carbs in the form of white dough that doesn't do anything for you. This is like those school lunch mandates we have in the US that required us to use fat free milk, saving a negligible amount of calories while removing the one part that would help kids feel more sated.
If you know any gyms that are protesting and staying open I’d appreciate it. Worried about the boyfriend, wish he wouldn’t even live there.
