In the comments they debate about whether or not there being a black market for oxygen in India is a bellweather signal.

As far as I've read, there's been a black market for oxygen in India for years. Not a new phenomenon. Classic example of the "new normal."

The first strain that showed up in Israel which was vaccine-resistant was the South Africa strain

https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/south-african-strain-can-break-through-pfizer-vaccine-israeli-study-says-1.9701003

They pushed it for a couple of days about three weeks ago and the story dropped off the face of the earth as far as I've seen since

Let me be clear: (lol)

The "Gab Rebellion" was just Alaskan Tyrant making a backup site in case this place predictably implodes

Nobody "left"

I genuinely enjoy reading people's insights and shit but I don't expect much from this site tbh

It's a venue for anonymous shitposting more than anything

Oftentimes you guys will surprise me with wheat when I don't have expect it. But every web forum is primarily chaff, short term dopamine hit shiteposting and nonsense, as it should be

Ofc, this place is deffo being monitored lmao

This place is a honeypot for glow bots at the end of the day, like all of these things are

I genuinely think he titled this "Vote PPC" because he thought it would trigger Ham more than actually just calling the thread "Fuck you Ham & al."

Honestly this deserved to be reposted after all the nonsense

Macron has already threatened to reprimand those involved lel

I think Davos wins this round, personally, but who knows.

Prepare for blowback. Reminds me a bit of that Turkish coup in, what, 2018?

Rules for Radicals is actually a pretty good book, and it's a short read. A bit nauseating at times, but Alinsky was pretty smart and had a lot of useful experience, even if his worldview was so twisted that he literally dedicated the book to Lucifer.

Bannon is an Alinsky admirer, and Jonah Goldberg always said his primary issue with the populist right was their "Alinsky envy." Useful book. I reread it during the Great Minnesota Pop-off of 2020 and I'm glad I did... a lot of things magically fell into place for me that time.

Ke recently helped found a new group, the Asian-Canadian Anti-Racism Alliance. Its initial members — announced at a virtual news conference for Toronto-area Chinese-language media — included the Confederation of Toronto Chinese Canadian Organizations (CTCCO) and other groups friendly with Beijing. Not among them was the Chinese Canadian National Council Toronto Chapter and Elimin8Hate, which collaborated on a report last month that documented a sharp rise in anti-Asian racism incidents.

Ke, an immigrant from Quanzhou, China, was a student cadre at his undergraduate university there, organized an overseas Chinese students society — a type of group often close with local consulates — at the German university where he did a Master’s degree, and in 2013 was chosen by the Toronto consulate to attend a training session in China for ethnic Chinese leaders from other countries.

Two Toronto-based politicians are pressing a Chinese-Canadian doctor to remove a sign on his office door – in Chinese – that refers to COVID-19 as the “Wuhan pneumonia,” complaining the wording could incite anti-Asian hatred[...]

Vincent Ke, a Progressive Conservative member of the provincial legislature with a history of ties to the Chinese government, said Kong may have made an innocent mistake, but it doesn’t matter that the mention of Wuhan was in Chinese.

"No matter the language spoken or written, the term ‘Wuhan pneumonia’ to describe the COVID-19 virus is not just incorrect, it is inflammatory,” a spokesman for the politician said by email. “In fact, many Chinese Canadians feel extremely offended and vulnerable by the term used by Dr. Kong … MPP Ke has confidence that if Dr. Kong learned how divisive and hurtful the term ‘Wuhan pneumonia’ is to the people in our communities, he would remove the sign.”

The (largely white) indigenous activism in this country is so fucked

I could go on all day about this complex and multifaceted issue but because brevity is cash:

  1. Absolutely cringe-inducing how, instead of using an example of indigenous people developing a cultural or technological solution which may be in any way unexpected or novel, they are just like LOL CANOE

MAN MAKE BOAT, MAN SOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEMS IN GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY

What limo-wristed paternalistic bullshit

  1. Saul Alinsky has a section in Rules for Radicals about encountering Canadian indigenous activists and their allies. Even if you hate Alinsky too much to read the rest of the book, please read that one section. I'm sure you'll get a mild kick out of it.
