firstly i did already revise that quote earlier in my new link at the bottom.

secondly, I do believe Canada has provided a lot of your mentioned "tributes" towards humanitarian aid of indigenous people just as they do globally with I believe nearly every crisis and tragity small and large

on a side note the restitution money your talking about was never really received in full the indigenous people have requested it and it was denied by Canada due to lack of funds, no hard feelings from me there. the solution is more than financial. https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/cash-back-report-investigates-what-restitution-for-indigenous-land-theft-could-look-like-1.5430567

for the Canadian government to destroy their economy in the process is ridiculous.

there were points made earlier that I did not find relevant to the few issues already proposed for the basic needs of indigenous people. in order to be more concise and to avoid irrelevant squabbling.

also, I only commented on anything I had prior research and knowledge of to avoid misinformation.

I feel like we are touching issues of different mentality

I would like to propose a theory. instead of looking down on the least privileged like the 2/3rds of the world who live in squater citys. if we were to help every single country and nation to the same technological and economic levels as the most privileged. for both better and worse. i believe that the majority of the earth's growing deficiency would start to disappear. I also believe that with their self-sustainability would come many times the number of man-hours dedicated to things like research and development of anything really.

I think you will find, of those of us who are old enough, we have witnessed countless reparations put into play. We have also witnessed successful reserves and utter abuse of funds by other reserves."" a wonderful statment and completely agreed

If you believe that freebies will solve aboriginal problems, look no further than generational welfare families. Those White families in that cycle perpetuate abuse, of every variety, upon themselves as well""" my proposed solutions were not based around handouts. it was based around education that would help a severe need of housing and mental health workers. it also pivoted around rebuilding relations and trust. i mentioned issues that were in my eyes extremely important for anyone. if anyone in Canada had no water and terrible housing i would advocate for them

If you think the general white population has it so much better, you're mistaken and ignoring another group's perspective entirely. ""I don't think it's very moral to compare the two anyways. it's complicated and messy. to say that anyone in need globally is not worth helping.......

thanks for all of the words. they are helping me refine and polish this. both of you have has wonderful points that made me revise certain areas

"Believe me these topics have all been heard of and discussed ad nauseam"

from my own personal experience, there is a severe lack of education about Ontario aboriginals in our community. =ontario peoples are usually surprised that to this day many places in Canada do not have consumable water.

"The solutions you give are also what is typically suggested and already done, namely giving the Aboriginals more of White People's wealth."

I actually emphasized the fact that Canada probably cannot afford it and did my best to constantly provide solutions that were money free(other than the already promised clean water fund)

"You talk of the church/states having to show some accountability or relations will break down more. They already have continually given resources and acknowledgement to these issues and relations have only gotten worse."

On May 29, 2017, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican. During this meeting, the Prime Minister formally asked the Pope deliver a papal apology for the Catholic Church's role in Indian Residential Schools.

On March 28, 2018 the Prime Minister received a letter from a senior representative of the Catholic Church in Canada, which stated that Pope Francis would not issue an apology. The Prime Minister told reporters that, "obviously I am disappointed in the Catholic Church's decision not to apologize for their role in residential schools." The Government of Canada will continue to advocate for a papal apology.

we already know where he stands at the moment but right now relations are at their lowest. graceful goodwill is never a bad idea in my opinion.

"They can't live up to the standards, be it clean water, or behaving in ways that they don't succumb to violence at the same rate as the national average."

https://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/obj/thesescanada/vol2/002/NR81496.PDF

on page 6 you will find a statement saying that a mining company destroyed an acid plant canada negotiated the construction of causing long lasting and widespread poison to their land and water. there are many instances of abuse like this making it harder and harder to live throughout Canadian history such as the 60's scoop.

https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/f545d93082d24547b5100784b709c303/page/page_0/?views=view_1 a heatmap of all crimes against Canadian indigenous peoples. if it were a behavior thing causing people to murder and abduct them would it be so isolated. ofcourse its not proof but its interesting non the less

"Implying that Whites don't care because they aren't Aboriginals, after all our bending over backwards, is an insult, a slap in the face." I mean you did just say this ...... " At the end of the day, Aboriginals cannot be fixed. Problem is genetic"

this was not for school this is a personal project however it has been completely censored on most Canadian owned and operated forums.

something about not being allowed to survey there unless your the Canadian government.

i feel that my writings were pretty misunderstood, some of your comments on how I was thinking were very far off from what I intended to write. although I do not agree with quite a few things that were said I will still take the time to try and source an argument for anything I feel could use correction. other things that were said I will ignore completely.
