Let's assume that President Trump restores his rightful office in the USA while Trudeau stays in power in Canada and moves further and further left.
Will Western right-wing/Wexiteer parties form an alliance, or will every province try to host a separate referendum and become a separate country?
Will the new Western Republic keep the Monarchy or will an American-style constitution that comes with a powerful President be enacted?
How would the relationships with eastern Canada and the US develop? I guess you would do a free trade agreement, customs union and remove border checks with the USA (the premise is that Trump stays in office there) while enacting a hard border with the People's Democratic Republic of Trudeauistan?
Or would you rather straight away join the USA as States? AFAIK the Prairie Provinces are considered quite "red" and would vote for the GOP and/or the Patriot Party? Assume that Trump splits California into a red and blue part to make Electoral College more fair and the same thing happens to BC. Vancouver turns into a city state that does not hold power over the rural areas.
Would you approve a Bering Bridge/Tunnel project that would allow easy trade with Russia and help develop Siberia with the help of American/Western Canadian companies?
WEXIT or die. The only problem is all Provinces have to vote on it and they will ever pass it. So fuck that system we just dont play by the rules. The left doesnt so why should we? WEXIT and fuck everyone. Create our own everything.
The prairie provinces would be better off as part of the USA. We all would. The Canadian government is determined to destroy the foundation of our economy, the petroleum industry, and our culture. The USA may need some convincing, but it would be well worth the effort.
I used to be against but not anymore. If both the US and Canada block Alberta oil, what's the problem of being landlocked? Fuck Ottawa and Quebec.
I've been waiting for a proper community to develop around wexit to really strengthen and progate the idea but sofar nothing serious has appeared.
The odds of wexit happening are probably slim but the movement in general can only help the wexit collation provinces. Also it might be good for people to really think of what a country should be.
Edit: Thinking on it, how awesome would it be to sort of collaborate on an open source country.
They should have did it when Pierre made NEP to destroy western power and enslave them.
Let's get real here. In order for people to get to the bloody point, there has to be a general consensus. In the states, the lengths they're going to are redpilling even the normies; people are waking up to the tangible abuses of authority, and Biden is only going to make that worse. 2022 primaries is when we'll start to see them panic, because their media apparatus is falling apart. Without it, there will be space for a grassroots movement towards a 3rd party.
Even normies will see that the terms "racist" and "nazi" have been co-opted to mean Anything to the Right of Socialist Utopia. Eat the Bugs, you bigot.
It's gonna be a shitshow down south for the next 4 years. They'd have to Impeach 3 people for there to be any hope. First Biden, then Harris, and finally Pelosi. Those three've got enough collective pinkies in the right assholes that they could run every broadway show for years with just fingerpuppets.
What this means for the Great North remains to be seen. Because of the way seats are distributed, the only hope is that someone with balls takes the reins and gives fewer fucks than anyone we've seen since Ralph.
Speaking of Ralph, Alberta is most likely to be the spearhead for such a movement. BC is Vancouver's bitch, and so expect more NDP cuckoldry, Saskatchewan will use Alberta to gauge likelihood of success before they make a move.
Alberta has to make a move, and for that, Albertans have to be the ones to light the fire under the asses of the right people. Edmonton is more Orange than Calgary, to put that into perspective, so it looks pretty grim.
I think they should get out to save themselves.
When you realize that most Albertan wexiters have been "trusting the plan" for the past 4 years, it seems unlikely that this movement will have a proper head on its shoulders. I've been to a rally or two. Lots of dim bulbs, my friends. Dim bulbs who are angry but don't have any idea what to do besides wave flags and chant slogans.
I want Wexit to happen. I want Canada to be officially broken up. I want the EU to crumble. Strong fences make good neighbors. Smaller communities make better homes for people and more nuanced cultures. All I'm saying is I haven't met anyone promoting Wexit who wasn't associated with Q and Trumpism.
If Southern and Prairie states of the USA secede and form a "Constitutional Union" under Patriotic leadership that borders the Canadian Prairies, would you join them?
And like with Quebec and Montreal, it will be the big cities that decide an independence referendum.
