Half the world was in summer months when flu season is over, which conveniently is when covid numbers go down. Additionally, there is no standard testing. Cycle thresholds are different province to province and country to country. China requires actual lab tests and only test if you have symptoms. We test people in schools and libraries that are symptom free and healthy. There's no way to determine if a country is responding better or worse since false positives and testing in general is fucked.
Dude, the CBC has a 4% market share. You give them more power than they have.
As for "prolonging a reopening" ... I don't think that it will happen. Kenney already announced first steps to lift the lockdown. Schools in some parts of Ontario are going to reopen on Monday. They won't open everything up at once, but it's better than nothing. I'm here in Sask where even restaurants and gyms are open while we have the highest new cases per capita of all provinces.
Oh god... sweet, sweet gyms. I've lost muscle in the last three months since they closed in Ontario. Home workout just kills me with fitness demoralization, haha. I managed in the spring for months... but I need real weights. I threw in the towel in Oct when they closed again. I keep my protein intake up but got lazy as fuck. Working on at least maintaining now with my bullshit home routine I've started forcing myself to do.

Well, the only important thing for Canadians is that they are better than the US.
Same goes for Canada. Almost 50% down since Ontario, Alberta and Quebec locked down.
