Gas is $4-5 a gallon. Thats about 3 times as much as Americans. It's almost entirely taxes causing that. Alcohol is 2 to 3 times as much as Americans. Thats because of taxes. Dairy and poultry is 3 times as much as Americans. That is entirely communist quota system and price fixing system from a cartel that is effectively taxes and is backed up with bans and tariffs on all foreign poultry and dairy. All technology (phones, video games, tvs, computers, etc) are about 50% more expensive in Canada. This is all tax based.
We pay more for everything because of taxes. It's not on the slip as a tax and its considered "normal price", but even taking into accoutn the exchange rates, we are bent over with no lube in taxes and hidden taxes.

Dude, don't make numbers up in your head to prove a point. Gas is $1 where I live, speak $4 a gallon (in CAD). That would be $3.17 in USD. In Texas gas is currently at $2.4 a gallon.
Alcohol and dairy aren't 3 times as expensive either. There's barely 10% of a price difference between a gallon of milk at a Canadian Walmart store and at a US Walmart store.
You are the one making up fucking numbers. And that's just walmart numbers. You can get milk for a lot less than at walmart in America and theres a lot more competition. Cheese is absolutely insane in Canada, too. Dairy is more than milk. Its bunch of products. Same with poultry. They have deals all the time and you can pick up chicken for next to nothing at any grocery store. Its illegal to have a cow in Canada and produce milk without a quota ticket and if you over produce, you must dump it down the drain - cant even give it away as a dairy producer. Our prices are artificially produced.

$3.45 USD are $4.35 CAD. The cheapest gallon of milk at Walmart in Canada is from Sealtest at $4.69 CAD a gallon. Not even a 10% difference.

$18 USD are $23 CAD. And maybe don't by Bud Light. You can get a 24 pack of Brewhouse Pilsner for $35.
Alcohol is more expensive, but only by about 20%. Johnnie Walker Red Label is $22 USD at Walmart, which is $28 CAD.

Here is Saskatoon you would only pay $6 bucks more for it.

So tell me how milk is three times more expensive when you pay $4.35 in the US and $4.69 in Canada?
Or how alcohol is three times more expensive when a bottle of Johnnie Walker costs $28 in the US and $34 in Canada.
