Women are weaker than men and cant run as fast or skate as fast or otherwise. This makes getting into position more difficult as a referee/arbiter of rules. It makes it impossible to break up any physical altercations or aid an injured player or stop outside interference (fan on field/ice). They are far more susceptible to injury than a male referee due to physical differences in gender. Lower hand eye coordination affects their ability to make calls on reaction or react on ice/field to pucks or balls coming at them at 100 mph speeds and opens them to injury in a position they should not be in. Weaker bodies make even minor altercations (player collision, etc) far more serious than simply having a male referee. there's no reason for them to be in a male league for these and other, similar reasons.
So what do you think about gay men as refs? Is there also too much sexual tension?
If you have time to complain about refs from the other sex in a game, you don't have any problems. No one cares. The are male refs which aren't impartial and there are female refs which aren't impartial.
I didn't say they are incapable of being impartial, my point is that it adds a dynamic to the game which could lead to emotionally driven decisions.
If all the dudes want to bang a hot referee on the court, you don't think it can affect the behavior of these players, in basketball for example, towards the way they might act to said ref? This behavior can affect her decision making process. Just my opinion.
And as said, that would also be valid for a gay male athlete or a gay male ref.
There are so many factors which could make a ref impartial. You could say a ref who was raised in the New England may by impartial against the Green Bay Packers and thus shouldn't call any games with them. Maybe there is a closet racist ref. Maybe a ref hates the colour purple and thus is impartial in games with the Vikings.
You've got way too much time on your hands if you have think about female refs banging the male athletes, or just maybe cuck fetish, who knows.
Linesman is different because the calls (offside, out of bounds are pretty much entirely objective). Same with umpiring in baseball (except the home plate umpire). No problem with women in these roles, just think that when it comes to arbitrary positions like basketball , a lot of emotionally driven calls can be made...
Once in a hockey game, our Captain politely questioned an off-side call by one of the female ref. And I mean politely; there's a reason we made him Captain, he knew the rules and is very patient. He got a 5 minute penalty for it. Just by chance, th league president was in spectators. (Easy to spot, there were so few). She (the ref) also played defense on a team in that league, C Division. A real piece of work she was. I thought that would not be allowed, but women can do any dammed thing regardless of the rules in sports, and that is part of the problem.

They call it better in bed than they do on the ice.

Nah
Men’s leagues should have men as refs.
Women’s leagues should have women refs.
It’s not difficult. And what happens during period time (pun intended)? The rules are replaced by emotions?
Agreed. I don't even really think men should officiate women's sports (and I'm sure most feminists would agree with me there lol.)

I'm not talking about gay referees but most of the dudes in professional sports are straight so idk.
Your point is that these female refs can't be impartial because they want to bang the male athletes. That could be also said about gay male refs.

I used to be a baseball fan before they threw in with the wokeness. If Joe West and Angel Hernandez can be umps, anyone can.
