Since the Floyd incident there have been a few violent attacks against officers in Toronto where it is unbelievable that the suspect wasn’t shot.
I believe the vast majority of officers aren’t looking for an excuse to shoot someone, but in these incidents it would have been more than justified. I can only assume they are hesitating because of fear of being the next officer in the spot light for having killed a black man. Now this hesitation is only going to be re-enforced by this verdict and criminal thugs are going to be emboldened.
