The fact that a new virus sweeping through adds a few to the total is sad

As though some of the people with regular health issues are not having to wait for treatment because preventable covid cases are using up healthcare resources.

you seriously believe a contagious virus can be stopped

The vaccination status of the people in the hospital is a clear demonstration that the resources of the healthcare system would be less heavily taxed by covid if everyone who could get vaccinated did get vaccinated.

Or if those who could get vaccinated but choose not to just went instead to their Internet friends for care when they caught the virus.
