There it is, only 43 healthcare workers nationwide died WITH Covid in almost two years despite them being in the "front lines" and exposed to it continuously.
How much would you wager those 43 people who died were old and/or landwhales with preexisting health conditions?
I dunno...5$?
Since about one person dies for every 50 people who test positive for covid, maybe we can assume there were about 200 others distributing it. It's possible for the vaxxed workers to do it, of course, but they're less likely to be asymptomatic - therefore more likely to stay home when infected, contagious for shorter periods and not as sick - so back to work sooner, and the virus they shed is less virulent. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2786040
So they pose less of a risk to the vulnerable.
Even the fired nurses would pose less of a risk to the vulnerable. They've all had constant exposure to covid since it started. Either they have had covid and, therefore, have natural immunity, or their immune system has already successfully fought it off without getting infected.
Then again, hospitals are overwhelmed. Meanwhile, nurses have been fired.
Nope. Some, probably, but the covid part of the hospital is as isolated as possible from the rest of the building. Covid nurses are kept on the covid unit and away from the rest of the wards as much as possible. "There will be specialty care areas where separate units or rooms are not feasible because of care requirements (e.g., intensive care). For these areas, consider using temporary partitions (e.g., glass or acrylic) between patients with ILI symptoms and patients without ILI symptoms." https://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/cpip-pclcpi/assets/pdf/ann-f-eng.pdf
If they have had covid they would still be required to be vaccinated because by now everyone knows that the shot increases their protection from re-infection. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/prepare-for-vaccination.html
Because the risk of having them around is deemed to be too great.
Yes, i do know that a covid vaccine and natural immunity is better than just natural immunity on its own. I also know that natural immunity on its own is better than the vaccine on its own. If i were to use your logic, i would then stupidly push for only nurses that have natural immunity be able to work and nurses that have a vaccine and no natural immunity to be fired.
Nah, according to the current mainstream iteration of the Covid science/truth a vaxxed person is more likely to experience very mild symptoms. So maybe its mild enough that they may not even know they have it etc. Either way they're able to go to pubs, bars, social events, sporting events and so on so they'll be coming into contact with larger groups of people, more frequently and won't be tested either. The masks and plexiglass is all theater since the virus is airborne. Even N95 masks only do so much and are generally changed out every few hours due to waning efficacy over time.
I walk by the pubs in my town almost every day and they are packed, elbow to elbow at the tables etc, meanwhile unvaxxed have to sit at home as pariahs....who do you think is spreading it around? How did the variants get here if everyone has to be vaccinated and tested to travel? Here's a hint, its the same reason they are pushing for additional shots.
Who is in these Ontario ICUs? The unvaxxed. Three times as many from one seventh of the population. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data Every one of the ones who are unvaccinated by choice and in an ICU bed is a drain on healthcare resources that didn't need to happen.
Seems logical to me to keep them out of crowds as much as possible.
I am not a fan of Reddit's Herman Cain Awards page, but the stories there illustrate that it isn't just the vulnerable who are dying, although a lot of anti-vaxxers seem to be under that impression. https://old.reddit.com/r/HermanCainAwards/
Anyone who's keeping up knows that the vaccines reduce the harm that the virus causes. There's no doubt that there wouldn't be so many stories on that page if those people had been vaccinated.
