Haha funny now let’s see the same joke with fat people, smokers, drinkers, drug users, and other high risk personal decision preventable reasons who have been making terrible health choices for decades.
Oh wait most people fall under those categories… Scapegoat for government failure needs to be a small minority group who doesn’t vote liberal.. hmmmm…
Antivax are 10% of the population and 50% of the hospital population.
So before covid when the system was overrun were the fat/smokers/drinkers/skiers overrepresented in the hospitals, or were they there in equal proportion to people who choose to follow healthcare advice?
Regardless I think we agree insofar that we both aren't in favor of universal healthcare. It should be private insurance, where people pay at least in part based on their personal choices. If you made the choice to be overweight, or drink, play dangerous sports etc you should pay more than someone who takes very good care of themselves. Maybe then we could have double the ICU capacity, comparable to the Americans.

But since the Canada Health Act is the law of the land, perhaps you can assist in parsing this section of the Act that was posted here yesterday:
"Universality
10 In order to satisfy the criterion respecting universality, the health care insurance plan of a province must entitle one hundred per cent of the insured persons of the province to the insured health services provided for by the plan on uniform terms and conditions."

No one has died of covid in the private residence in a western country. 75% of covid deaths have an average of 4 comorbidities. They fly covid patients province to province to find space. My hospital in my town of 26k in Ontario has regularly 6 icu beds. Goes to 18 when the go into Loco lock down and cancel everything. Just before omicron when the had the regular 6 beds they only had 2 covid cases and they were imported from Manitoba. The slow walk towards rounding up the unvaxed continues. They mean to divide us with this bullshit. Don't be 1930s Germans.
The word "contagious" just bounces off some peoples' foreheads. It never makes it to their ears.
