Folks, absolutely no one is chilling disclosure, because absolutely anyone with Internet access can post to VAERS, and anyone who wants to can see what's posted. It's wide open.
Apparently some people can't take that on board, and instead believe - or claim to believe - that no one would ever post anything there that wasn't true.
Don't get your medical advice from anonymous people on social media
VAers, like our Canadian reporting system does not allow "just anyone". You hav to have a doctors report or some other report to submit to the VAers system to complete all steps.
Go there yourself and fill out the form. Only some of the fields are required, and you can skip through the process in a matter of minutes. Please do not submit the form at the end.
That form requires a medical report otherwise it gets rejected like here in Canada. Sure you can start the process as anyone, but VAERS has a moderation team like any system.
One thing you fail to note is this system is legally required by healthcare professionals to submit claims through.
What you do when you diminish a legally required reporting system is you create distrust in something healthcare professionals must report to
Folks, bobbysgoat needs to go to the site, do some reading, and get their facts straight. Right at the top of the page it says "The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is a passive reporting system, meaning it relies on individuals to send in reports of their experiences. Anyone can submit a report to VAERS, including parents and patients." https://vaers.hhs.gov/reportevent.html
They're either ignorant of the facts or purposely spreading misinformation about this.
