10 year US treasury

It will go up since it's quite low at the moment. Usually US 10 year treasury rate should be way above 2%.

If that's true, then it would also mean that the "leaked document" is bullshit.

Singh was the reason Trudeau won the last election.

O'Toole and Singh will be the reasons why Trudeau will win the next election.

Churches here in Sask aren't closed. They only have to limit attendance.

If nuclear power is the way to go, then we will have to store nuclear waste somewhere.

It probably is a photoshopped picture of David Cameron. Even the quote is fake. It's not from Hitler and also doesn't appear in Mein Kampf. Same picture made the round last year during the first lockdown.

It is a quote by the author Pat Miller who wrote Willfully Ignorant (a fictional story about a woman who falls in love with a SS officer):

Too late buddy. As said, banning military members for marching in uniform in pride parades would be seen as politicizing it nowadays. Harper opened the door and now it's wide open. Well, it's not only wide open. There isn't a door anymore and thus can't be closed.

And talking about bringing back the death penalty or even banning the military for waving pride flags is nothing more than wishful thinking. Bernier has a higher chance of being the next PM.

I wouldn't blame the Liberals for it when the Conservative set the precedent. A 3 year old could have seen it that the Liberals would push it even farther once the first step was taken.

And now in 2021 banning military members to march in pride parades in uniform would be seen as politicizing it. Conservatives tried to play a game they couldn't win and we lost neutral military.

Let's say O'Toole wins the next election (there is a chance, so it could happen). Do you really think that the military would stop attending pride parades and stop waving rainbow flags?

I suspect he did it out of fear of being called a homophobe

Absolutely no one talked about the military joining the Pride Parade back in 2007. It came out of nowhere. It seems like Harper wanted to score some political points.

since the CPC were taking a pro-gay position by then ... , but today the whole thing is hyper-partisan

Ford marched in Pride Parades, O'Toole marched in pride parades (as long as the police is also allowed to march), Bernier marched in pride parades. Even here in ultra "conservative" Saskatchewan our Premier Scott Moe attended a Pride Festival. Kinda weird for a "hyper-partisan" issue if there is only one side.

Just imagine the uproar if Harper had told the military to march in right-wing protests while wearing their uniforms

I mean Harper gave the military the thumbs up to wear uniforms in the Toronto Pride Parade for the first time ever. Did he politicize the military too?

I can ask my wife, but it will depend on how much you want to spend for a blanket. Can you spend more than $30 on a blanket? Also depends if you like these thick blankets which feel like a fur or you're more into these flannel blankets.

Depends on how much you want to spend. If you don't want to spend more than $30 for a blanket then go to Bed Bath and Beyond.

Ontario, Quebec, New York State, California I don't think things will get back to normal for years

I don't think so. People will stop to give a shit about it when they see that the case numbers are falling and the hospitals aren't full anymore. It will be summer and you will see the restaurants and beaches full in California. People won't be wearing masks anymore and they won't social distance.

Our society not just economy is heavily influenced by public sector unions here.

Look what happened during last summer. The parks were full of people without masks, having picnics and drinking. The same thing will happen again this summer. Restaurants will open again, the border won't be closed and Trudeau will be celebrated as saviour, right in time for an election. He is the man who gave us our life back. And as we see with the UK and Boris, or Israel and Netanyahu, he will ride the wave and win.

My predictions:

Once enough people are vaccinated and cases are down to a few hundred a day (just like in Israel), nobody will care again and people will live like before. No one will ask for your vaccine passport or similar in a year.
