Only 0.002% of the population infected, but anything to keep the fear alive!
I wouldn't be surprised if he changes his mind:
I'm hoping this will be the case when they attempt to lock us down again in the fall. But given how easily the majority has eaten all this up, I'm doubtful.
I deleted it as soon as I woke up the next day. I'm still getting 2-3 daily emails/texts/calls though.
Jeez man, that is so ridiculous. I wish you the best.
That's precisely why I didn't want to stay in one (and blow $2000 on it).
I really considered recording all this, but felt uneasy with 4 police officers standing by. I'll be sure to do it next time I fly out.
That's the plan :)
I would like to think Canada will bounce back, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
I came back for family and work commitments.
Next time I leave, it'll be for good.
It's a fine for refusing to comply with the Quarantine Act. I did not want to pay $2000 and quarantine in a government facility so they fined me for that.
I won't be paying that fine, it'll be going straight to court. I don't plan on taking a 3rd test -- there's enough proof I don't have it.
As for the app, I asked when I boarded down south of it was necessary and to enter Canada and complete the check on, it is necessary because it provides a receipt number that CBS will need upon entry. They can deny you if you don't have it.
Link? You've piqued my curiosity.
Oh my goodness! ?
I mean ...if it works, it works.
I was planning on doing this before my test. I figure this would be the best way to increase my chances.
Thank you!
Many people I've talked to assumed that when we closed the US land border, we also restricted air travel to/from the USA as well.
When told thay this wasn't the case, their tune quickly changed to "What the fuck is the point of keep the land border closed then?"
There's selective information being fed here to keep people fearful and in favor of stupid policies.
You can refuse based off human rights grounds or medical history.
IIRC correctly though, an employer can now give you indefinite leave if you refuse vaccination under the Ontario ESA.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ford "invest" a bunch of money into local vaccine production last summer and then we never heard about it again?
I thought about Australia as well. Especially given that it is a common-wealth country.
Based on the stuff that happened there during COVID however, plus the large influx of Chinese, combined with the expensive cost of living, and now Hollywood elite flocking there, it's so-so now.
I'm curious to see where Australia ends up in the next decade.
WTF is "biphobia"???
I've found the same issue with most men TBH. It's hard to find sane people of either sex in the country.
Ended up finding an American. Never been happier.
The Turdeau family gained money off a government funded grant that JT's government issued ....how is that not a direct conflict????
I'm waiting for the day they say "even though JT shot the man point blank, his actions do not count as murder".
FFS.
Oh??? Link??
Like others have said, if you go north, prepare for snow, closed highways in the winter, weaker telecom infrastructure, and a return to basics. If you're fine with all those, it really is a great change of pace and the people are so much more genuine.
I wish you the best on this transition!
Parry Sound is expanding fast and becoming a students hub. It also gets very touristy half the year because it's within reasonable driving range of Toronto.
Facts. Only changed his tune when the election was announced.
Don't fall for the pretty words during an election cycle. Look at everything they did/said prior to it to know what you're in for long term.
