What's even funnier? One of the teachers' unions is putting commercials on TV saying that Doug Ford "wants online only schools forever." They're the ones who wanted schools to stay online.

then that would be unconstitutional and you can invoke the charter.

In the meantime, you'll be fired and you'll have to hope that you get a judge who doesn't decide that "public health" trumps your charter rights.

When was this picture taken? Wow, seeing Sam the Record Man logo is a blast from the past.

It was taken a few days ago. The Sam the Record Man logo was bought by... I believe Ryerson University? They said they'd install it closer to the ground, but that's what we got.

I am already talking to party management about launching a website like this one but directly under PPC's brand.

Would it be something like gab/parler/frankspeech that requires you to input a phone number for each account? Or more like reddit/win where it's very easy to set up an account, but also very easy to come back after being banned?

Liberal MPs aren't allowed to think. Their job is literally to toe the party line. If you ask them why they're not standing up for their constituents, they'd likely answer, "I am. My constitutents voted Liberal and thus they want what we're doing."

He’d sell out his mother for political gain.

And has. Wasn't she also paid by WE?

TL;DR: Remember those early graphs from last March about "slowing the spread," and the graph without safety measures had a higher peak? It also ended quicker. That's pretty much what happened: Florida and Texas had more sickness per capita, but ended quicker. Our distancing measures are ensuring it's going on forever.

Ford and Trudeau: "It's so safe, we're taking it!"

Medical community:

Edit, from the article: "She said there is currently a one-in-60,000 chance of having some sort of side effect, down from a one-in-100,000 chance."

If the chance went from one in 100K to one in 60K, that chance went UP, not DOWN. Either the writer doesn't understand math, or they did that on purpose the same way the chocolate ration went up from 30 grams to 20.

To attend the multi-day canoe trip, students needed to pass a swim test. Thirty-three students ranging ages 14 to 19 were on the canoe trip. Fifteen of them, including Perry, had failed a swim test at Sparrow Lake Camp in days prior to the trip. Mills “was acutely aware that half of the students were not competent swimmers,” Stanford said.

So they failed a swimming test and the dude let them go on the trip anyway. I can't help but wonder if he did so out of fear of being called racist.

"This ain't diverse! They's all the same!"
"Stop being gay, start being tolerant."
My sister and I still quote this show. This episode was probably the best one.

My riding hasn't even elected a conservative or PC at any level for 40 years. In some ways they've even stopped trying to campaign (they don't always show up to debates, for example.) I cut the PPC some slack in 2019 because they probably didn't have the funding to put on what looked like an attempt. They don't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning, but I really would like to see them try. It would put them one up on the conservatives.

And yet, Trudeau still spent a ton trying to get on the UN Security Council as a useless member.

It's been known for a long time the Maritime provinces have wait lists for doctors. In parts of rural Ontario it is also very hard to get a family doctor.

It's not terribly different even in the major cities. When my doctor was temporarily delicensed and jailed (I wish I knew the full story on this, so don't ask for details) we had to scramble for a new family doctor. We managed to get on the list of my aunt's family doctor. He was already overloaded with patients but said he'd do it because we were a patient's family.

Not that I go all that often. I think it's been four or five years since the last time I saw him? But yeah, while the problem isn't as pronounced in cities, it still exists.

It's the inevitable result of being "progressive." You have to choose whose rights you get to trample on. Anti-homeless or not, I just see it as turning three seats into two, which is a huge waste.

Shit, you just made me realize something. The GG spot is still unfilled. Trudeau would fall all over himself to stick a Muslim there.

He announced in April that he will not seek a fourth term as Calgary’s mayor.

You think he's going to angle for Premier or go into federal politics?

Have not been back inside a corporate store since.

Last time I was inside a corporate store was March 2020. Last time I set foot outside the house to go anywhere besides work was August (I went to a mall to get my phone fixed/replaced, but they wouldn't let me inside the store because I couldn't wear a mask. At first they agreed to conduct business outside the store but when they heard the nature of the transaction they said they couldn't do even that, so I had to get a proxy to go in on my behalf.)

Maybe one of these days they'll allow me inside somewhere without a mask or vax, but I doubt it.
