Do it now. There is never a good time to move, you're uprooting your life. I moved from the east coast in my early-twenties with nothing but a little student loan money left and everything I owned in a hatchback. I moved back and forth between AB and ON until I landed a decent job out West and been here ever since. No part of it has been easy, but it makes sense financially.

Fuck that, get out now and go somewhere else, Quebec is beautiful but it basically runs like a socialist nation within the confines of Canada. I disagree with staying and fighting, exactly what is he going to do about a 15% sales tax? That shit is not going anywhere, he'll live his whole life paying that tax, and he'll more likely see it increase rather than decrease. Unless you've personally got the capital, the coalition, and the will of the people on your side, there is very little you're going to do to fight and change anything about Quebec.

We're dreaming if we expect the eastern provinces to lower their taxes. Eastern provinces having greying populations whereas Alberta brings down the national average so many young people moved here. I left the east coast years ago and had a hard time starting up my life out West, things are hard enough here, but I was paying 15% tax in NL, it was untenable. The NL government can barely make payroll for its own employees as it is, and the taxes and cost of living are ridiculous.

Are you triggered? This isn't reddit, don't bitch at me, make your points like a man.

Fake refugees are not given a house, they're given substantial rental supplements and welfare. I am not troubling to verify this, you made the claim so you can back it up.

We're not saying that starting tomorrow nobody who doesn't own a home cannot vote in Canada. The electorate is fundamentally unserious. We vote for bullshit. If you're living somewhere with a ridiculous housing market, I don't blame you for not buying in, that's why I moved.

When the electoral system was built, voting rights weren't given out like candy, there were conditions that restricted ones ability to vote. You had to have substantial investment in your community, and in your nation.

It was also a time where the economy and our currency wasn't manipulated to all hell, and most people in their mid twenties owned homes and businesses. Those conditions have been eradicated after several progressive campaigns to broaden voting rights. Unfortunately the economic and market realities have changed significantly too.

I am a millennial, can confirm, most of them are fucking lost. They're full on leftists, hate their own skin colour, despise their own heritage, loathe their own country, and suffer from mental health problems, but somehow can't figure out why. Must be the patriarchy. Half of the ones who make it back from that are nihilists and don't believe in anything, excluding them from taking a stand on anything, and sit smugly with a fence jammed up their ass. A few of us manage to figure things out for ourselves, but we'll never get close to positions in politics.

The technology is impressive and all, but what are these things going to be used for? Not likely anything good, the potential is too high. For anyone who thinks that's too pessimistic, consider the fact that we have incredible communication networks enabled by the internet, and that quickly turned into data harvesting and algorithmic exploitation of our brain's reward centers in order to get people addicted to social media.

Lin has been going off. If after Jan 6, at the latest, Jan 20, he hasn't revealed anything but more cryptic tweets, I'll conclude that was full of shit and trying to attract attention to further his own career. For the sake of the US and for the fight for the survival of freedom in the West, I hope he's got something, and I can't wait to know what it is.

Is there anything worse than Indian music? What a bunch of shit noise that is. Shrill, nasally, no rhythm, no melody, just garbage that offends the ears.

Fuck all of these politicians. Anyone living in their ridings, let them know that if a fucking ice cream cone runs for office against them that it has your vote. Fuck their apologies, they're not sorry, they knew exactly what they were doing. Fuck Kenny for saying yeah yeah everyone is frustrated, yes its unacceptable, no we're not going to do anything about it. Meanwhile, people have their own parents over for dinner and can get a fine anywhere between $1000 and $100,000? ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

People with no property have no skin in the game. Sure, there are lots of people who do not own property who vote sensibly and are informed, but once you've got got something important to lose, you're not likely to vote for spend thrift morons like Trudeau because it will affect your income, your mortgage, your interest rates, and economic stability.

Dear me, well, I am sure we can trust our strong justice system to give those two kids a stern talking to. Now Mr, don't do that again, ya hear? You don't want to lose your driving privileges!

Well they should know better, what were they expecting! It says right here in bylaw #1566 and city ordinance #10586 that any fun taking place outdoors on or after Dec 18, 2020 is hereby illegal and strictly prohibited. I mean breaking that rule is just asking to have your family shot as far as I am concerned.

The way the majority of people have been lead like sheep to follow these restrictions is truly horrifying to me. I knew that most people had outsourced their critical thinking skills to the media a long time ago, and I saw the mental rot that set in with the advent of social media, but never did I think I would see things come to this, and so quickly.

What we know now, and more importantly, what the ruling class has now confirmed, is that we are in fact very vulnerable to manipulation, too stupid, too ignorant, too narcissistic, and too comfortable to realize it and fight back against it. It is very Brave New World:

“And that," put in the Director sententiously, “that is the secret of happiness and virtue—liking what you've got to do. All conditioning aims at that: making people like their unescapable social destiny.”

If our criminal justice system continues to go this way, we will probably see more of this:

I never stop to help people, and I never stop for hitchhikers. Fuck that noise these days. A few weeks ago I pulled over when I saw someone in a ditch to make sure she was okay and had someone coming, but that's the first time I ever did that too. Rural crime is up, and I don't blame farmers for the shoot, shovel, shut up approach.

Brave or Tor browser. Tails operating system on a flash drive if you're deeply paranoid. I use VPN, random email address with protonmail. I don't hide my opinions in real life though, I just don't get too spicy or aggressive about it.

About time, I hope this works out, I always liked the Wild Rose party, was bummed when they joined up with the fake conservatives.

drinkboxwaterbottles 4 points ago +4 / -0

You have absolutely nailed it. I think the same thing, every interested party is exploiting it for whatever they can get. When this first dropped nobody knew what side of it they were on, hell Canada was weeks behind what Trump did in the US.

They were calling Trump a racist for blocking flights from China, Pelosi out in Chinatown saying come on down! CNN and other legacy media publishing articles on things more likely to kill you than COVID, and Fauci was saying not to wear a mask because it won't help. Meanwhile they were scrambling to put people on ventilators until they found out it was killing people.

Agenda 2030 or The Great Reset is great conspiracy theory, and certainly the billionaires of the world manipulate information and governments toward their own ends, but we don't have any proof, no good evidence, and so we are left with speculation regarding the reset theory, and that is vague and unsatisfying.

Never let a good crisis go to waste. Look at the disaster capitalism happening right now. Gates out there making 100s of millions of dollars on vaccines, he could give a fuck about who lives or dies. The guy is a ruthless capitalist. He'd sell arsenic laced baby formula if it added another 0.005% on his net worth.

That was the only reason half of the people I know voted for Trudeau. I'd say we got ripped off.

Once there is a tax, a law, a rule, or policy, there will always be a tax, law, rule, or policy.

Government spending increases to create departments to handle the new responsibilities, and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy where the workers, managers, directors, and ministers in charge know that there is no use for them, and their livelihood is on the line if people find out.

From this emerges what is called a perverse incentive where it is now in their best interest to manipulate information, propagandize, fear monger, and misinform the public so that it supports its continuing existence. Government is always in favour of government intervention.

Its the same principle that applies to so-called "antiracist" authors, professors, activists, and non-profit organizations. More and worse racism is exactly what they need to continue getting attention for their cause and earning a living from donations, fund raising, consultation, and book sales.

That's the attitude for sure. Being aware of logical fallacies should not be considered intelligent, or well informed, we should all know about the logical fallacies and how they're used against us. Such appeals to emotion, and appeals to authority underpin the persuasive techniques used on us, and they work! Even though it relies on blatant logical fallacies!

I came here to post this hahaha

What a complete faggot. This turd will lose the so called conservatives another election, and rightfully so. If ring wing cowardice is what it takes to finally alienate the conservative base and destroy the blue liberal party then I am all for it.

The longer it takes for a truly conservative party to emerge, the further down this path toward a globalist, socialist dystopia we go. Eventually, there will be nothing left to conserve, and by the statements and policy positions of CPC members, they've already dispensed with the notion of conserving anything already.

Once there is nothing left to conserve, and we've ceded the remaining control of our social institutions in their totality to leftists, it won't be conservatism that emerges as alternative, it will be something much more extreme. If only we knew how far down that road we've already gone we could turn it around now, but our ignorance is truly tragic, we know not what we do.
