Oppression is a major plank in every leftist platform. Leftism is the opposite of freedom. This is why every leftist government creates a hellish society. Why would anyone support such a philosophy?

Yes. The aboriginals were treated better in pre-Canada than anywhere else at that time. Better than the USA and way better than the Portuguese or Spanish. A big reason that there was little resistance was that whites treated them much better than neighboring tribes, so why fight an improvement. People need to study history rather than listen to dishonest, hateful SJWs.

I don't know. They might drive them out with high taxes, intrusive regulation, green energy, or oppressive labour laws.

Why placate SJWs? They will never be happy. Offer $4 billion and they will demand $40 billion. Educate minorities and they will accuse you of 'cultural genocide'. Give school admission, scholarship, and employment preferences to minorities and they will demand more. Praise minority culture and they will demand that white culture be vilified. They are just hateful racists.

Who 'owns' land has always been an interesting question. Nobody made land. If God gave land to some people nobody can prove that. Historically the 'owner' was the occupier who was able to defend the land. Aboriginals fail on both points. They did not occupy the entire country. They were, generally, itinerant hunters and gathers.

Regardless, 'blood and soil' is a racist, regressive philosophy. Strange that lefties who claim to 'fight racism' champion it so vigorously. It makes them look like the hateful hypocrites that they are. We should all share the land as citizens with equal rights as brothers/sisters.

These graveyards were from the 1800s. Most graves were marked at the time. You know very well that kids were not murdered. There is no evidence that the death rate in RS was greater than for other aboriginal children for the same time an place. None. Nada. Tragic? Yes. Criminal? No. News? Also no. Who will benefit from your hate-filled interpretation of history?

A hammer and sickle would reflect our commitment to freedom.

This has been a non-story from the start: corpses found in graveyards. The real story is how SJWs and CBC is manipulating history to create bigotry against Catholics and to create a race war. Hatred always begets more hatred.

ralphswanson 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yep. SJWs who are only interested in their own ego are peddling hatred and bigotry yet again.

We should stop sending money to reserves if we acknowledge that they are 'first nations' and if we intend to adhere to treaties.

the schools were part of a genocide under a plan by former prime minister Sir John A. Macdonald.

What? I understand that our looney left is teaching this nonsense to divide races against each other and create a race war, but now Conservative governments say it too? Genocide? If we eliminate homelessness is that genocide? The homeless are a culture. How about eliminating abject poverty or single motherhood? Is that also 'genocide'? We educated aboriginals to empower them. Without literacy, English or French, or marketable job skills they were doomed to live on welfare. Yes, mistakes were made but not as bad mistakes being made today.

Our health care is too expensive for what we get. We should follow the leaders, such as the Netherlands, not the USA in both administration and education. For example, providers other than doctors should have more responsibility. Doctor's wages should be lower. Medical schools should choose applicants from high school or first year college rather than having applicants apply for several years.

Yes. It's racist to believe that the government must pay for your water if you are aboriginal. And treating aboriginals like children does them no favors in the long run.

ralphswanson 9 points ago +9 / -0

Why does the CBC believe that all blacks in British North America before 1830 were slaves? I suppose there were so few blacks at that time it's difficult to know much about them at all, so made-up shit can't be disproven.

But never forget: slavery was never legal in Canada. Almost all the slave owners in pre-Canada were aboriginal. A Canadian black today is a hundred time more like to have a slave merchant in his family tree as a slave in pre-Canada.

No. We shall give them 16 billion as 8 billion was not enough.

Our treating aboriginals like children is counter-productive. Aboriginals must take control of their own destiny and pay for their own water.

Should we be supporting male models, male beauty contests, male sex workers, and romance novels where a bunch of rich women try to win the young gorgeous male protagonist for 'equality'? No. 'Equality' means ignoring men, even with real issues such as suicide rates, child custody, life expectancy, workplace deaths, incarceration rates, and graduation rates.

Love it when lefties turn on each other as they always do.

This is literally the Kafka trap: Catholics denying that they are abusive is proof that they are abusive. This hate campaign by the media against Catholics is abhorrent. One can have sympathy for victims without hate. Our media does not understand that.

A taxpayer-funded hate campaign against Catholics - including aboriginal Catholics. The Left are the greatest racists and sexist in Canada.

Trudeau stole Venezuela's economic plan, but added massive 3rd world immigration. Nothing will be balanced. Industry is fleeing. Wages, for those who have jobs, is low. Housing is out-of-reach.

1
ralphswanson 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yep. The costly bureaucracy and litigation that these ever-changing, anti-white, anti-male laws require would keep any reasonable company out of Canada. Most manufacturing has left the country in the last few decades while the USA has jobs galore.

Except 'Employment Equity'/anti-male quotas but him at the rear of the hiring promotion queue.

Who does this benefit? Massive immigration keeps housing price out of reach yet keeps wages low. Yes, these immigrants will vote Liberal so all their relatives can come to Canada too.
