The MOH in my region (Peel Region) Lawrence Loh increased restrictions because the virus is supposedly out of control in Brampton. William Osler hospital in Brampton is supposedly "overwhelmed". Even though Peel Region only has 51 COVID hospitalizations. Most in Brampton but still. Ontario has only 367 COVID hospitalizations, 84 in ICU, 54 intubated (note: ventilators kill people anyways). At the peak we had 1043 in hospital, 264 in ICU. If we are overwhelmed in Brampton now, what the fuck do you call April when hospitalizations were triple and ICU admissions more than triple?! The media and the government is blatantly lying to people. Even when the government's own data shows that they are full of shit.

Most people have cognitive biases that are tailored towards viewpoints they already hold. That's not specific to leftists, and it would be ridiculous to try to suggest that the right does not do this.
My point is that people that get very specialized degrees in a certain subject are most likely more knowledgeable about that subject than both you and I. It's okay to take advise from knowledgeable people instead of blindly dismissing them because it doesn't fit your narrative.

You can be unemployed and be against lockdowns. In fact a lot of unemployed people are pissed off that they lost their job due to the pandemic. Including my girlfriend. She has applied to lots of places and went to lots of job interviews and she still can't get a job offer. And she hates this lockdown because it's making it harder for her to get a job and she can't cope with social isolation. Have some empathy for people who have it worse than you. This is the biggest weakness with Conservatives.
If you want to stop losing to the Liberals, Conservatives need to stop punching down and help low-income Canadians. If you don't want low-income Canadians going on welfare, why don't you advocate for creating jobs and increasing the housing supply instead of insulting them for being unemployed collecting CERB? The Liberals and NDP have done a good job of pretending to give a shit about the poor. Even though their policies do more harm than good. The Tories don't even try to reach out to this demographic.
