I'm a bit skeptical about why this dropped right before the mid-term elections. It will change the narrative away from the economy and focus on the emotionally charged topic of abortion. Libs will be extra-motivated to go out and vote. Let's also recall that these justices refused to consider the voluminous amount of evidence showing that the presidential election was stolen. Apparently, they love the corrupt socialists. This could be their move to keep the democrats in power by rallying up their pink-haired base along with their soy-drinking simps.
Hmmm. I hadn't considered that. You're right, this will galvanize Democrats going into midterms. Maybe that was the thinking of one or two of the justices.
Edit: And right at the beginning of protest season too. They've got the whole summer to make a stink over it. Then come the midterms.
The George Floyd thing happened in May of an election year too.
I'm an American and I think the people who reckon this will change the tide of the midterms will be sorely disappointed. But then again, whether this ruling has any effect on the midterms depends on how many seats you see the Republican Party winning vs how many they actually win. If you live in Steve Bannonland where we're going to take 100 seats in the House and then we end up taking 55, one could ascribe that discrepancy to a number of things.
Those are all good questions because it's retarded that its happening. And why did BLM take off in Europe as well, which is doubly stupid because those European countries like Belgium and the Netherlands don't really have that questionable history with Africans that the US does.
Years ago I saw many people predict this would happen because of #metoo. Hell even Dave Chappelle on his special sticks and stones said something along those lines.
I didn't believe it would ever even get close to happening, but here we are? It might be happening? Is happening?
The Liberal war between men and women is crazy. It's not going to end well.
What's wierd to me is liberals like her or gerald butts were there right away saying 'this could happen in canada'.
It's like... Harper ran on limiting abortion and never did it. His own party wouldn't go for it.
Pierre who is likely to be leader answered the question early and he's all 'freedom' aka free choice. So it's not really on the table in Canada.
What's the repeal of roe really do anyway? California and NY will still allow abortion.

People have the attention span of a gnat
It's way too early it will be forgotten by November

Why do Canadians care about a ruling in the US letting women kill babies?
Why did BLM take off in Canada? Why do we have prohibitions on legal firearms? We do we have DEI enforced in and by Canadian businesses?

Because it's what's on TV right now.
We see Canadian events on TV alot and I don't think any of us would have a meltdown like Canadian leftists are.

Technically no. What about freedom to the unborn? They have no rights?
Repealing Roe vs Wade will not result in saving any baby lives. They simply have to drive/fly to another state. It's only slightly more inconvenient.
It’s going to put a moral price on a cheap fuck and make more people think twice.
You think ppl who can’t afford birth control are going to fly to another state?
Has the DC police chief tweeted how "tired" residents are of the protests?
